Ignite Your Child's Reading Journey

I have always had an active imagination and can feel a story in day to day activities; engagements with pets; interactions with friends and family; or even strangers. When I was a child my favorite place to be was out in nature; that was where I felt my creative mind could flow without interruption. I spent a lot of my childhood sitting inside the old barn on the farm reading, daydreaming; imagining a world that was my own creation. It was quiet in the barn with only the occasional cat rubbing up along my leg and it was in this barn that a lot of my childhood stories were born.

I got lost in books and went into a world not my own and then would take the adventure one step further and act out those stories in my playtime. I was a deep thinker; a shy girl; an introvert and if I couldn't connect to people in reality, then I did my best to create characters in my stories to whom I could connect or share a fondness with.

Books were my gateway to the sublime; the key to the mysterious; the flowered archway to romance and the wild mustang to the "olden days." They literally had everything within their pages that I craved; and that everything was adventure!
